Mr. Yemm was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. He graduated magna cum laude from Illinois State University in 1999. Upon graduation, he was granted an internship with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office in Springfield, Illinois. Mr. Yemm attended law school at Northern Illinois University, where he graduated, with honors, in 2004. During law school, Mr. Yemm served as a law clerk for the civil division judges of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, in Kane County, Illinois.
After graduating law school, Mr. Yemm took a position with a general practice law firm in Crystal Lake, Illinois where his practice was focused in the areas of commercial and residential real estate transactions, estate planning, and commercial litigation.
Since joining The Sheehan Firm in 2006, Mr. Yemm’s practice has been concentrated in product liability defense, and in particular, he has specialized in representing the interests of companies in the amusement and leisure-related products industry. He has been involved in various amusement-industry activities, including serving as an instructor for AIMS International, Ltd., a trade association comprised of and dedicated to protecting the interests of, manufacturers and suppliers to the amusement industry.
Mr. Yemm is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, including the trial bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the State of Florida. He has also been admitted to practice, pro hac vice, in state and federal courts around the country, including: California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Indiana.
